Thomas Struth - On museums

Thomas Struth's series, on museums, is a long and in depths exploration of our relationship to these "fetichised art works" that we go visit like pilgrims. Other than the obvious quality of the images, with people mirroring what they are watching ( the Radeau de la meduse is especially great i think ), i think he is saying something very interesting showing us looking at art in pictures that are made to looked at like art. Re inserting magic in these great works of art by reminding us of the role they play in our culture.

we are small. art is great.
